I was curious if there are any issues doing this? I'm running the Sprint Lovers ROM and I just did the PRL update for the hell of it, I'm currently at PRL version 60676.
Can you still apply PRL & profile updates if rooted?

The only thing you shouldn't do is an "HTC Update" i.e. OTA update. That will break your root and may be patched to require an alternate method to root.
