Can you use hotspot with lte and talk at the same time?

I use the official mobile hotspot on my gnex at home but when I make a call or get a call, I lose my tethered data connection. I thought you can use data and talk while on Lte so I assumed that would apply to hotspot. Anyone else have this issue or know whether hotspots tethered data and talk should work at the same time?
