This is MY first android phone,as of 3 days ago, there have been many in my house but this is the first that belongs to me. I am interested in rooting it, but I cant seem to find a set of directions for it Running LS670ZVC. Is this possible? Can you give me a set of directions, or a link to a How-To? Thanks in advance.

Should I upgrade then Root VD? (I'm sure its obvious, that I'm new to Rooting.)

yes you should for a number of reasons

1. it newer and better:D
2. its waaay easier
3.(the most important) on VC alot of people were having trouble getting hung up on the lg logo whenever they turned their phone on

really the hardest part about rooting VD is getting the sdk and lg drivers installed correctly (theres links on how to do that when you go to the rooting page)

Ok, How do I upgrade to VD?

theres a sticky right at the top of all the threads there all also some other ways to do it but i think that one works the best

this is the way i did it(for some reason my links never work but here it is anyway)

Thanks, I also just found this thread http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...ks/67524-tutorial-easy-update-vc-vd-root.html Should I follow those directions or the one on the link you posted. Which is better for my needs.

they both work but i did the one i linked the one you just linked i think works better if your on VC (i was on V9 and older baseband version) so maybe you'll have better luck with the one you linked

Thanks! you've been a Huge help, Just one last question, Is there a one click solution or application to make this easier?

Thanks, I'll be rooting tonight or tomorrow depending on how prepared I feel. You have been a great help.

The thread you found is for an already rooted VC phone. VC/VD are not rootable. You will have to revert to V9, root there and then upgrade to VD via the LG updater.

I should add that it is essential to flash a custom recovery before updating from V9 to VD via the LG Updater. That and a rooted rom like ThundeROM will make the "rooting" of VD easy.
