Canada currently rolling out update 1AQEJ

States security updates only and brings security patch level to May 1st, 2017. Update is 1AQEJ which is odd considering that the rest of the world now seems to be slowly getting the Bluetooth fix update, 1AQEB. 1AQEJ seems newer though assuming Samsung follows some sort of sequential numbering.

It's not related to this update. Android Pay can just be downloaded from the Google Play Store. It still does not support TD or RBC in Canada, which is pretty weak. Info comes from Financial Post leak from this morning. Same junk as Samsung Pay in Canada in that sense, though Samsung Pay is even worse because it only works with select cards from CIBC and that is it. Apple Pay still trumps both, in Canada at least.

I'm surprised that this thread has only 3 views and no mention of it anywhere on the front page either. Are there like 10 S8/S8+ phones that were sold in Canada?

Just a quick update...this update (no pun intended) toasted my S8+. It's getting factory reset now. No change from yesterday, except the update and the phone went on a fritz. Google Play Services climbed to the top of usage. Battery drain was insane. Apps stopped installing unless I shut down Play Store every time an app gets to 100% downloaded and then restart it. Finally Play Store stopped working all together, Google Play Services was crashing...reminds me why I always have a backup device when I use an Android. :-X
