Canada Roaming free?

Guys....

I just saw this on my account... Do you know what this Data Roaming USA and Canada - free means? I thought only USA roaming was free?

Wouldn't it be easiest to call Verizon and ask? To my knowledge, you will get charged for roaming calls and data in Canada. Text messages are free though.

I looked at Verizin's site. The way I read it, they don't charge a separate roaming fee, but you still pay per minute for voice or per MB for data when in Canada. Back on my non-smartohones, on two separate trips to Canada, I switched to what they called "North America's Choice" and had no voice roaming minutes while in Canada, and switched back before 30 days was up, but after the billing cycle closed.
