Canadian Carriers

Does anyone have recommendations? I'll be shopping for a good plan with access to the US for calls and texts, plus international roaming. Thanks!

Hello! I've been with Rogers for a long time, and I have a love/hate relationship with them. I was going to switch carriers about a year ago but they had a 15-20 gigs of data plan for a super great price, so I crumbled. I've always used a US calling and texting add-on because my brother lives and works in the States. It's very reasonable. I can't remember exact prices, but it was something necessary for me and it didn't break my bank! I was also paying off my S10 at the time so the price figure was skewed.

When I am in the States with Rogers' Roam Like Home, my data connects as soon as I'm at the airport or crossing the border into Detroit. Data has always been easy and fast to connect, and I've had no hiccups. Very awesome, because I spent about a week in Vermont with my brother and still needed to stay in touch with loved ones back home.

I highly recommend Rogers *now*, especially since their US-Canada rates are good. With the amount of calling and texting I do to the States, it was more than worth it.

Another option for calling to the US is using Google Voice. You would need someone in the US to help set it up - verification is done through a US number.
