Cancel family talk line

I have 5 lines on my family talk account. Can I pay the etf on one of the lines and then open a new line in its place at the new line price? Is there any waiting period?

I believe you have to wait 3-6 months to add a line when one is cancelled but someone who actually works for Verizon can correct me if I am wrong.

I assume you are doing this to get upgrade pricing on a new device. Make sure to do the math, it may be cheaper just to buy the device outright. If you just want a different number Verizon can help you with that (actually it can be done via MyVerizon) and it does not cost anything.
