Cancelling a download

I have a file that keeps trying to down load from my computer but it won't work. I can't keep the phone from constantly trying. Anyone know how to cancel it?

Download from your computer? Like, when you plug in your device USB? Please clarify, I'm not sure what you're asking.

on my AT&T GS3 it automatically restarts a active download after a reboot. I usually just let it finish or fail. If it fails it won't retry.
