Cannot connect husbands Gear S2 without it turning my sync off

[AC Question]

Hello! So we are able to number sync the main number on the account just fine but cannot get the 2nd main line to connect. It just turns the main line sync off. Any suggestions? We both have current Galaxy phones so it's not a compatibility issue.
