Android Central Question

When I had Android 8 on my Pixel 2 xl I noticed that not all of my notifications where transfered through my Gear S3. I re-initiated my Samsung Gear S3 and switched to Android 9 Beta version. Then I tried to pair my watch to the phone. The watch prompts me to download the Gear app, so I did. Now after opening the Gear app, it tells me to choose the type of watch. The app sees the watch and when I click to pair, the app crashes. I tried several times, cleared the cache memory on the Gear app, uninstalled and reinstalled, Same thing... Samsung Support blamed it on the Android Beta 9 version but, now I'm using the official version and still cannot pair. Any suggestions?

It kind of got buried with all the product releases this week but there was actually a PSA about this posted as a front-page article.

Samsung can blame it on the beta OS all they want, the OS is now production and is still an issue so it now falls on Samsung to resolve the connectivity issues.
