Cannot connect to internet

I cannot connect my Pixel 6a to the internet. My other devices are connected and have tried all the usual "solutions".

I have restarted the Pixel, reset the WiFi and Bluetooth settings, and even tried to hotspot connect from my S21 FE. I switched the router off and on. All this without success.

The last resort is a factory reset and i would like to avoid this if possible.

Any advice?

I guess you could try Safe Mode, but it sounds to me more like a hardware failure.

If you use any DNS settings or VPN try turning those off

Thanks. I tried Safe Mode and was able to download and install the March security update and a Play Protect (this was excruciatingly slow). I was also able to download a few app updates from Playstore but most would not download.

Back in normal mode I was back at Square one. I could not get into Google One and my Yahoo inbox would not load. Also Speedtest could not connect.

If it is a hardware problem which particular factor do you think might be at fault?

Appreciate any advice.

I just changed the VPN location and it seems to be working. I should have seen this as a likely cause of the problem. Thanks.

Yeah figured it had to be something with a VPN or DNS settings
