Cannot encrypt

I just got the phone yesterday. When I try to encrypt, I put in my pin, and it looks like it's going to encrypt. I see the little droid guy for about 1 second, and then it reboots. Not encrypted.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't tried, and can't test it right now, as I don't have the possible hour to allow for encryption. You have the power cable plugged in?

Yes, power cable is plugged in. It won't even let you choose the option if it is not.

Does it do that even right after a reboot?

Yep. Even right after a reboot.
I made sure the system and all apps were up to date, in case that was a problem at all. I tried adding/removing the Motorola and Android device managers as device admins, too. Either way, same thing.
