cannot find battery stats

I tried looking at battery usage under settings. The graph shows up but it says "battery usage data not available"

So installed spare parts and that errors out with "cannot find battery stats activity. ..contact the developer"

Is this just me? Rebooted several times to no avail.

I have exactly the same problem and have read of other people with the same too.

Seems to be common. In fact I've not yet seen anyone say the battery stats works on their Transformer yet.

Has any 1 been disappointed with thier battery performance? Last nite i left my fully charged transformer in airplane mode over night and it was at 82 percent in the morning ? That is a ton of battery use in a pure standy mode !!

Any suggestions\feedback would be appreciated!!

Why not just turn it off overnight? Why bother leaving it in Airplane mode, where it can't do any syncing or anything else anyway?

I put it in airplane mode as a test to see how much juice it would use in standby. I thought 18% was pretty high for overnight standby.

I guess I was checking with others to see if their experiences were similar?

So far I have been impressed with the battery for the size of the screen. With a LOT of usage, more then will be typical over time, I get a solid two days before it powers off. Granted I am trying to drain the battery as fast as I can. At night I just tap the power button leaving it connected to the WiFi and stream non-sense youtube videos while watching TV so the screen stays powered on.

The current charge is from night before last: used it off/on through the day at work for Citrix RDP, only watched about an hour of video last night, sister played angry birds for 30-45min, and never once used airplane mode. I am sitting right at 62% left currently. No mods or battery saver apps installed. I did change the email sync to 1hr instead of the default 4hrs. I did install the antivirus free that runs non-stop and changed the wallpaper to the asus water/battery meter as well so I guess those eat up battery *shrug*

I've been comparing my TF to my Xoom, and I've discovered that while battery use while actually in use is similar, the Xoom gets MUCH better battery life on standby than the TF. Where the Xoom burns <1%/hour on standby, the TF burns about 3.0-3.5%/hour. As an example, I left both of them sitting on standby when I went to a ceremony this past Sunday, and the Xoom used 3% battery life while the TF used about 21%. And note that the Xoom and TF are identically configured in terms of system settings, background syncing, etc.

There's a bug somewhere. Whether it's related to the battery stats issue or not, Asus has some work to do in figuring out why the TF is burning so much battery on standby. However, because of the battery stats issue, we users don't have much we can do to help figure out what's going on.

Holy cow. Based on what you are saying my battery should go down 21-35% overnight? I am not seeing that nor anything close to that. I bet my battery only goes down *maybe* 10% overnight. I wonder what build y'all have and if that makes a big difference. Thus far I am very happy with the battery life so I am glad I don't see your drain

Note that I haven't put mine in airplane mode to see if that makes a difference, and I don't really care if it does. I shouldn't HAVE TO put it in airplane mode, and the Xoom shows that a Honeycomb tablet with the same specs can be very efficient in standby.

Over on XDA, it seems like people are getting about the same results as me. A few folks also report getting better results (closer to yours), but it's not always clear if they're running in airplane mode or not.

Anyways, these are definitely the results I'm getting, and my Xoom really does perform much better on standby. I have the latest build (5/1), and so unless you're running an earlier build that's not it. It could possibly be a hardware issue, but that would be really difficult to pin down, again because we aren't seeing the battery stats.

I do hope Asus fixes the battery sensor issue soon so that I can see what's sucking down all the juice.

I am not doing much for this tablet to be using so much battery. FYI, I saw it dropping about the same amount in standby with or with our airplane mode.

Okay, so, this is getting to be something of a mystery. Yes, you're running the original firmware while I'm fully updated, but I swear I remember my TF using about the same battery life on standby as it does now.

It's seeming like there really is a difference between some TFs and others, I'm just not able to tell which type is in the majority.

So two of they guys at work were talking about WiFi WMM, wireless mulimedia. It is a deal where the AP lets your device sleep better but still holds the connection and pushes data less. This is supposed to be a real battery saver. So if you have it enabled your battery does not run down nearly as fast as if you don't have it enabled.

Since you said your XOOM does not do this and that your TF runs down even in airplane mode (no wifi) I doubt this would be it but maybe something to look into?

EDIT: I just added my work email which is a push with default settings. The number of emails I get from alerts and such may really cause a battery hit. I'll give another update later with two email accounts syncing. It has made the new email notice twice just while typing this little post *sigh*
