Cannot Install OTA?

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem? I upgraded my phone to Froyo after getting it from a friend manually, and then I am no longer getting any OTA updates. I never got prompted for the Flash update saying my system is already updated. Figuring it was a problem with the update i went and reverted my system back to 2.0 and Still got the same issue. Have tried and am now running ESE81 2.1. Verizon help me because I manually installed the update instead of waiting for the OTA, their claiming it wasn't official when i installed it. Help would be appreciated.
