cannot record call from application.

I have created an application.From my application sometimes I am able to record call some times not.Is this device specific or OS problem.
I am using following devices and OS:

1. Honor 8 lite OS : android 7.0 (not working).
2 lenovo OS : 5.0 and 5.1 (working)
3 samsung OS : 5.0 and 5.1 (Working)
4 MI not working
