cannot see pictures in email client

hey out there,

I'm using the native email client with exchange 2010 and when I open up an email that has the 'show pictures' button available, i press and nothing happens. whatever pictures(S) are there show up with an question mark. I have a co-worker with the same device, he can view pictures after pressing the button.

any ideas?
