Cannot update.

My fascinate is rooted, havent done much. I rooted to fix to google and take the bloatware off. I am trying to do a verizon update through inno path, it will download the software and start updating then it says, "UPDATE FAILED OR INCOMPLETE. reason: IP_PREVIOUS_UPDATE_FAILED" What can I do to get it up to date or do I even need to update?

you need to get all the bloatware back on or flash via odin to stock

You're going to need to flash back to stock DI01 and update from there to resolve this issue, or manually flash the DL09 update.

I recommend DI01 then doing the OTA,since The odin one is just a leak

So I just moved all of the bloatware into a file on my sd card. Can I jusdt move that file to my system folder or do I have to individually move everything?

individiulally, because otherwise it will change the path that its suppose to be assigned to

Ok I think I lost the city id file, do you know a link where I could find it?

And WHen I fixed the bing issue I put .old in the file name, do I have to change all of that back?

Both my wife and I are also having this issue, but our phones are NOT rooted. We just picked them up on Sunday, brand new from Best Buy.

My current version is DI01, what do I need to do?

well that depends on weather you are going to root or not. i would def reccomend rooting to anyone with atleast a little geek inside. so lets start with that, are you going to root?

I certainly have no problems with rooting. I am a geek and really dont have any reservations messing with it since I have 23 more days to walk into Best Buy and exchange this if I need to.

in that case the DL09 update is more trouble than its worth. it has screwed up more than a few phones. dj05 is a leaked update that never happened. it fixes all the issues that dl09 fixes and it doesnt screw up your phone. count your blessings that you didnt get the ota update. i use superdark dj05 rom. there is the super clean rom that is more of a stock feel but without all the bloat.

To prevent issues like this in the future, it is way easier to Freeze the bloatware with Bloat Freezer or Titanium Backup Premium in the market.

Luckily the OP had a backup of his APKs, most people just delete them, having no idea that it will prevent them from ever getting OTA updates again. Freezing solves all these issues.
