Cannot use custom keyboard after restart

Hi,
I have a android tablet running on Nougat 7.0

The default keyboard is AOSP , when I install any custom keyboard like Gboard, it works fine, I'm able to set it as the new default one and use it normally.
The problem comes after a reboot where I don't know why, Android disables the 2 keyboards, not only the ASOP but also the new custom one.
That means after each restart, I have no keyboard when I select an input field, I have to manually go to settings and re-enable one of them, again and again...
I spend many hours on forums but found no similar issue, what mostly happens if that Android reverts back to the stock keyboard, but for me is no keyboard...

Any idea?

Welcome to Android Central! Since you didn't mention the brand and model, I'm assuming this is some off-brand or no-name device. My guess is that it's a firmware glitch, so unless the manufacturer comes out with a patch (and if it's an off-brand, that's highly unlikely), you'll probably have to live with it. Sorry!

If you don't install a 3rd party keyboard, does the stock keyboard still get disabled after a reboot? Or is it only when there's another keyboard installed?

Hi,
Thx for your reply, indeed it's an off brand chinese cheap tablet.
The default keyboard works fine after rebooting if it's the only one.

I've found a kind of workaround... If I install a third keyboard, then everything works fine, problem appears with only 2 keyboards.
