Cant boot phone!!

I updated my Galaxy S last night (with the VW update) and fell asleep, when i woke up (9 hrs later) it was on the Samsung boot screen so i tied to do a hard reset which didn't work, so I tried to go into recovery mode, I got here but i cant scroll down and when i press reboot now it just gives me the android with the exclamation point. When i take out the battery and do a hard reset it just brings me straight back to the screen...

Please help it would be greatly appreciated!!!

That would have been nice to know.... Now any Apps I load to sd vanish... Anyone know how to fix this, or has this "fix" ruined my sd card?

Search for threads on ec09. There may be ways to save your card. I lost mine so had to buy a new one.
