can't connect galaxy S9 to other LAN devices in my home.

Devices are all on the same network. File transfers fail, Wi-Fi direct fails, and bluetooth fails. I can show photos in my phone on my TV, but not videos.

Are you sure you aren't connected to your "guest" LAN. Guest connections can't see other devices on the LAN.

Bluetooth has nothing to do with the LAN.

"WiFi direct" usually doesn't work, you need a WiFi file transfer app or an FTP server app.

A phone can't "connect to" another phone just because they're on the same LAN - it's like trying to plug a plug ... into a plug. You need something between them to make them "connectable" - a server on one and a client on the other. (Unix used to come with remote utilities, but Android doesn't.)
