Can't copy folders from PC to Droid Turbo

I was trying to copy part of my music collection from my PC to my phone, but for some reason I am not able to. I can copy individual files, but not folders and sub-folders. When I attempt to, I immediately get a message saying that "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." Since I have about 854 individual folders that I'd have to dig through to copy all of my music, I'd really like to know if there's a way I can simply copy folders and included sub-folders straight from the PC to the phone without having to copy individual files.
