In samsung galaxy s7 I'm using UCCW to open some apps. Every app I have tested opens up correctly but Phone cannot be opened. Instead it opens Contacts.
I do believe this has to do with that Contacts and Phone is the same app in the background only separated by some parameter when click on the "stock" icons. When you instead use a shortcut/UCCW to open it it ommits that parameter and fails to open the Phone view and instead goes to Contacts.
The reason I think this is the case is because if i hold the Icon/shortcut of Phone and Contacts and bring it the App info both of them will show the Contacts app information.
A solution could be to get another Phone app and use that as a workaround but if possible I would skip it as the native samsung galaxy s7 app is good.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
