Can't disable single tap to answer on note 4 phone

About Tax Day (April 15) I noticed my usual swipe to answer or reject option on my Galaxy Note 4 is gone. The answer screen now has a round image of the caller (if they are in my contacts) and the answer or reject buttons at the bottom. If I tap they work as expected, however, I don't have a means of "rejecting with message" which I did have, and I'd honestly prefer it the way I had it.

Single Tap is not Checked in the Settings and Accessibility settings are all off. As far as I know the phone did not get "upgraded" overnight, and I've tried everything short of a factory reset to clear it.

Any ideas? Is this a botched OS rollout that is messing up my older (and yet still fully functional and adequate) phone?

Any help is appreciated.

I've found a number of responses on how to turn Single Tap on, and have tried reversing those to no avail. Nothing seems to cover this.
