cant download from market

The last 2 days, everytime I download an app from the market, it gets such on "starting download" no matter how long I wait. Browsing and everything else works

Well I set it to not sync my gmail or contacts, that's about it

I would suggest a hard reset. Backup your data first.

Before doing a hard reset, have you tried turning it off, pulling the battery (and waiting a few minutes), then restarting? If not, give that a shot.
