Can't end calls by home key

This could be a lollipop related issue. This is irritating,because i have to wait for the screen to tun on,or the caller to hang up, and sometimes takes a while. Any solutions? Thanks in advance!

open your dialer go into settings the three little dots under contacts.then go in to call, answering ending calls, check the end call power key box

Thank you for your reply! The problem is: it is already checked. I even tried unchecking it,and it still didnt work
