I am getting errors about running out of memory, so I tried to go in and free up memory. Each time I have deleted apps, cleared the cach, or deleted pictures it only lasts a few days then I run out of memory again without any additions or new pics. I look in my storage and see this:

Oddly I have a 6GB in Miscellaneous, and when I click that I see this:

More oddness, if I select all the files it shows only 99.23MB. Where is the rest of the 6BG hiding and how can I clean that up?

I have tried searching for it with file manager. I downloaded Root App Deleter to try and clean it up with no success. Any ideas?

Hi Richison, welcome to the forums! Those 6.26gb are system files and are protected. There's not much you can do with them

Thanks! So what keeps taking up my extra storage? I deleted a ton of pictures off my phone, and in a few days I'm out of memory. This is really the only thing taking up large amounts of space.

You should consider deleting some apps that you don't use. Also, if you want to quickly free some storage tap on cached data and delete. Cache will grow back after some time and it's not a permanent fix though. Check this guide about cache.

Most apps can not be moved to the sd card. You can move all videos, pictures and music to the sd card. Remove un needed apps and clear cache. Search for "memory" on this forum to find a lot of information on memory management!
