Can't get Froyo?

Every time I Check for Updates it just hangs there. I have already unchecked the "Sync over WiFi only"

How can I get Froyo if the Update doesn't work?

I'm having the same problem. Been trying to go to "About phone" and look for updates and it kept saying "unable to check for updates now".

Then I turned on wifi, and it's been saying "Checking for available update. Please wait..." for 10 minutes now.

OK mine is working now. The "Sync over Wifi only" setting was not persistent after my reboot. I unchecked, rebooted and it worked first time.
