Can't get my gear 360 connected with Note 8

Anyone else having problems with it? I hit the power button and it doesn't turn on. Do I have to have a SD card in it for it to be turned on?

Mine connected to my Note 8 w/o a micro-SD card in the 360.

Did you charge it? I immediately put it on the charger. A couple of hours later I pulled it off and it worked great.

I just put it on the charger for a bit and took it off. Still won't power on. Looks like I got a dud. Nothing went right with this pre order for me.

plug it into your computer and let it sit. there's a thread roaming around with other tips. also you can't use any strip and any charger. they have to be sufficient and many aren't. try the computer first and then another more powerful charger brick and/or strip.

Thanks. It's working now after plugging it into my PC. Odd. Customer support just told me in a few days Samsung will send out an email on how to get a replacement charger since this is an ongoing issue with the camera.

that's an excellent idea. the strip thing is important too, for some reason. I had my new N8 with it's charger and cord in an outlet charging and it kept telling me it wouldn't. moved the setup to a new strip and it was happy.
