Cant get passed the AT&T logo on start up for my Galaxy Note II

I have been told that i have a software issue on this phone. We tried a reboot but didn't even work. When i turn my phone on it displays the Samsung Galaxy letters and then when it shifts into the AT&T logo it spins twice and freezes. Can anyone help? Has anyone had this issue?

Please help ASAP.

Welcome to Android Central! Try pulling the battery to force a shutdown, then reinsert it, and boot into Recovery Mode. Then wipe the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11018 (The T-Mobile steps should be the same for an AT&T device as well.)
