I searched so hopefully I'm not double posting, if I am please forgive me...

I got sick of waiting for the update from Google and decided to try and load on Froyo with my stock non-rooted Nexus One. I used to have a rooted G1 and am not new to flashing ROM's or the process of rooting but I cannot get to the screen to load a new update. I followed the instructions from the article "Froyo on your Nexus One -- AT&T and T-Mobile" (mine is a T-Mobile version) and when I get to the exclamation warning my phone stops and holding up on the volume rocker and pressing power does nothing. I am not sure of what to do from this point on but was hoping someone could tell me what I over looked since I'm beating my head against the wall. Thanks in advance for any tips/advice!

I tried that as part of the instructions but my phone just sits there and does nothing until I pull the battery out. I think it is getting stuck loading the recovery menu so I can't create a back up or apply an update zip.

I do have build ERE27 but ill look at the instructions you posted. Thanks for the info and ill post if it helped or not.

I followed those instructions and I was not hitting the up volume and the power button at the same time which is why I couldn't get past it. Now I am getting an error saying that the update isn't signned which is a common issue so I guess I will just have to wait but thanks for the tip!
