Can't get rid of accessibility notification from notification bar on my S10

I've been having a problem where the green button to answer calls on my S10 hasn't been working properly so I couldn't always answer my calls and ended up having to ring people back. After a bit of googling I came across a fix - turn on the Assistant Menu and enable Single Tap To Swipe. While this seems to have worked, it has also caused another problem: I now have a constant notification from Accessibility on Notification Bar that I can't get rid of and it's really annoying me. I read somewhere - after consulting Google once again - that one way to get rid of it is by going to Accessibility > 3 dots > hide status notification, but the option to "hide status notification" isn't there!

If anyone has a fix for this please help me cos it's driving me nuts!!

Try going settings>general mangement>reset>reset accessibility

Can you give us more details about the problem you were having answering calls before turning on Accessibility?

I couldn't swipe the green button you use to answer calls as when I tried to swipe it nothing happened, so I kept missing calls. I was also finding that when I hit the red button to end a call it didn't always work or it was taking a good few seconds to actually end the call - this I'm still having problems with. Not much else to tell you really I think.

Have you tried this? Go to settings - apps & notifications - see all xxx apps - three dots top right - show system - select 'Android Accessibility Suite' - notifications - switch it off.

Have you already tried adjusting the screen sensitivity? www.samsung.com/ph/support/mobile-d...vity-and-lag-issues-on-galaxy-mobile-devices/

Also, do you have a screen protector on?
Yes, I do have a screen protector on and I have already got the screen sensitivity button toggled on.

Tried that but the button to toggle notifications for the Android Accessibility Suite is greyed out so I can't adjust it. It seems like if you turn on Accessibility then you're just stuck with the notifications from it, but I don't really want to turn it back off cos then I'm back to not being able to answer calls purposely.

Ok, so have you tried increasing the screen sensitivity to see if that helps you answer the phone? Or taking the screen protector off to improve screen sensitivity? (I'm trying to see if we can remove the need for using the Accessibility feature in the first place.)

In the settings of the phone app, the submenu Answer and end calls (*) contains two options that are deactivated by default:

- Answer calls with the "Louder" key (*)
- Ending calls with the On/Off key (*)

Maybe this could be an alternative to the Assistant Menu.

(* = my translations from the German menu entries)

Well as I said, I have the screen sensitivity button toggled On. As far I'm aware that's the only way you can increase the screen sensitivity. Tbh, I don't believe it's an issue with the touch screen anyway cos I can use the touch screen for everything else with no problems whatsoever, including the area where the green button that allows you to answer an incoming call appears.

Oh, I'm sorry -- I thought the screen sensitivity option would give an option to increase the sensitivity by user-selected gradation, rather than all or none.:-\
