Can't get rid of voicemail notification

I'm on AT&T, but I use Google Voice for voicemail now. I think before I switched my voicemail over though, I got a message or 2 while it still would have gone to my AT&T mailbox. The problem is that when I dial the voicemail box# on the notice, it takes me to Google.

At least this is what I think is going on - I don't think it's a Google voicemail showing.

For reference, it's the little cassette recorder icon in the upper left.

Any ideas?

Are you able to call in directly to your AT&T voicemail from somewhere else, like a landline? Follow the steps under "Access your voicemail from another phone": Access AT&T Basic Voicemail- AT&T Wireless Support

I think I may have figured it out. I changed the default voicemail back to carrier, called my AT&T voicemail, it told me I have no messages, and now the notification is gone.

That's been bothering me for 6 months. ..
