Can't Get S Beam to work Note 4

I used to use S Beam all the time between my husbands and my Note 2's. It worked Perfectly and quickly!....I now have a Note 4 and tried to beam a photo same as always, but now from my Note 4 to his Note 2 and it won't work!! Absolutely nothing happens

I took out my old Note 2 and once again it works perfectly N2 to N2! I have all the correct settings on in NFC and S Beam. Anyone else's Note 4 not able to Beam files????

I've always found the Samsung sharing apps/functions to be glitchy. I gave up and started using an app called Fotoswipe between my phone and my wife's.

George, thanks for at least replying. I appreciate it. Although the S Beam should work.... It works perfectly on my old Note 2. I will take a look at the app you mentioned.

Hmmm, It didn't work for me from my Note 4 to my husbands Note 2.

Go to the NFC tab, long press it to bring up outings and make sure the s beam is turned on.

yeah it really won't work. tried my friend's note 4 and my S5's S beam to a note 2 about a month ago and it just doesn't work. we all have no idea why or what settings to change. note 4, s5, note 3 are all okay to beam with each other though

I have. All the correct settings; Sbeam, Android Beam, and NFC are all turned on.

Just guessing here, but did you try turning off android beam or turning off s beam? Maybe both being on are conflicting with ea other?

Thank you for the thought as any suggestion is always worth a try..... I actually called Samsung (not much help) and the tech said I had everything set up/turned on correctly. Makes me crazy that it worked perfectly to my friends S3 which is much older than my hubby's Note 2.....i just don't get it!

Problem Solved! So I stopped by Best Buy last night (had to buy a new dishwasher, Ugh) So I went and talked to a Samsung rep in the cell phones. They know soooo much more than when you call Samsung themselves!

So turns out that the NFC in the Note 2 is placed in the Phone, in other models like the Note 4 it's in the battery. So when holding the N4 to N2 back to back, you have to offset them not straight back to back for the signal to meet. So now my N4 to my hubby's N2 works perfectly, even with his heavy Otterbox case!

It is definitely a signal issue!! Instead of putting them back to back lined up you need to put the note 2 camera area against the back of the note 4 s bottom battery area.. or you could just do back to back upside down works every time!! I hope this helps!!
