Can't hear notifications when phone is on lock screen

I have a new Samsung Galaxy 22 Ultra and I'm having trouble with sound notifications when the phone is on the lock screen.

I've gone through multiple troubleshooting tips, including making sure the individual apps I want to hear notifications from are enabled.

I have a particular app that notifies me when I need to do things periodically throughout the day. I know approximately when I should get the notification. What's weird is that the notification sound works when I exit the lock screen to look at the main display. So I know the notification is being sent, but it isn't displaying or sounding on the lock screen.

I'm running the latest update of Android ver 12.

FWIW, this problematic app worked fine on the Galaxy 10+ that I upgraded from. I'm sure that it is set up correctly.

If you long press that apps icon >tap info>tap notifications>notifications categories >each category can adjust it's notifications

Yep. Here's how I have the settings in that app.

one of the likely common cause is that the app is having issue with the model (not just yours but S22's in general)
You can reproduce the issue and submit error report to samsung members app > get help > error report.
Samsung should be able to verify if it's your phone that is the issue or the app, and if it's the app then they'll pass the issue along to the app owners

Yep. Here's how I have the settings in that app.

Now tap notifications categories do get more menu's

It might be the phone causing along with the new version of Android. I just looked up the app and the last time it was updated was in July of 2021, before Android 12.

Maybe go to settings>lock screen>notification tap>hide content toggle off

Well, that allowed me to uncheck the radio button, but unfortunately I'm still not getting audible notifications on the lock screen. I think I will try reinstalling the app.

It's one of the standard sounds provided by Android, but not the one set as the default. I can hear the sound/notification just fine when the phone is not on the lock screen.
