Can't hear phone calls from earpiece or headphones, but can through speakerphone and bluetooth?

I've replaced the earpiece successfully, I've tried soundabout. I've tried disabling noise suppression, etc.

Does anyone know why I can't hear my calls through earpiece or through headphones but can just fine through speakerphone and bluetooth headset???

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? My guess is that both the earpiece speaker and the headphone jack are faulty. Can you hear other media sounds via wired headphones?

I have the same problem! I bought the headphones to keep my phone calls private! They work great to watch TV or listen to podcasts on my phone, THEY JUST DON'T WORK WITH MY PHONE!!! HELP!!! I bought them specifically to use to keep my calls private, and I just won't use the phone, except to text, until this problem is fixed. This stupid new android phone did not have a jack the right size, so I had to order headphones that would fit into my mini usb c slot. Why is this such a problem? I have gone through everything to fix this, to no avail. About to cancel my service, I'm so mad!:'''''''''''''''(

Did you get headphones made for iPhone rather than Android?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Which headphones? It might be better to use Bluetooth headphones.
