cant install gapps on nook color

Hi I have happily installed cm7 v.3.1 on the sd card using very greens method. I have copied the gapps to the card and tried to install gapps but not working .I have tried 2 methods the two finger method . I never get the read forever screen, just the words loading , it eventually goes straight to cm7 .
I have also tried the power off method selecting reboot, recovery . I have tried for 6 hours . I have read that some people say redo the card and reinstall the cm7 and the gapps together and it works ???.

Apart from reformatting the card do I need to anything else to the card , remove pertitions

I had this issue too. If you reformat the card and put both the CM7.zip and the gapps.zip in the boot partition it will install both of them at the same time. You may have to enable wifi after you boot the nook from the SD then set up your google accounts, but it works just fine.

I've done it on my Nook and a friends with no issue.

Another option, worked like a charm for me after hours of frustration;
