Can't install Kies

When I try to install the software on my PC it can't find the drivers. The phone doesn't come with a disk and I don't see a download on Samsungs site. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hmm. Have you plugged your phone into the computer already? If you have a later version of Windows (Vista or 7) It should automatically detect the phone and install the drivers. What kind of PC do you have?

For some reason it wouldnt detect the drivers on its own. Its a vista equipped dell. I downloaded the drivers and it worked fine afterwards.

Thats weird. Vista is a tricky system. It always would give me problems like that so I just upgraded all the computers to Windows 7. Its a shame Samsung didnt include a disk to do this. You would think they would have an installation disk for the diver and kies.

I did manage to download kies v 2.0, but when I connect my Infuse, I get a pop up that states my device is unsupported. And when trying different USB settings on my phone, I get a pop up telling me to make sure i'm in "Kies (PC Studio)", but the only option I see is "Kies ( Firmware update)". I do have the drivers installed, (and re-installed) but I can't seem to get it to work. Maybe it's the wrong Kies version? Maybe i'm out of my league with a "smart" phone? IDK.

Any more info on this Terrigno? I am having the same issue. I installed Keis 2.0, but it says my phone is unsupported.

I contacted Samsung and This is what they said:
Steve J: Hi, thank you for contacting Samsung Technical Support. How may I help you today?

Visitor: I just got the Samsung Infuse Cell phone. When I attach the USB to the computer it asked about the Kies firmware update. I went to samsung support downloaded Kies. Connected and then it told me that my product was not compatible. Is this because it is new? Is there a new version?

Steve J: I understand that you want Kies software full version software download link for your phone.

Steve J: Am I right?

Steve J: I understand that you are trying to update your phone, but the application software "KIES" used to fulfill the requirement is not yet released for users in U.S officially at this moment and hence there is no relevant information or support available for the same.

Steve J: As of now Kies software is not released for US customers. It is only released for non US customers.

Visitor: ok thanks. I take it, it is in the near future?

Steve J: When an Kies full version software is made available, this support page will contain information on how to obtain the update and use it.
