Can't load new App to SD card

I have the Xgody 5" Android 4.4 Smartphone Dual SIM Unlocked Cell Phone with KitKat 4.4. I recently added a name brand 16 gb micro SD card, and in settings specify it as the default write media. I successfully downloaded google maps to the card, but when I try to install a new App, it's trying to write to the phone memory and tells me I don't have enough memory.

Yep, I'm having the same problem! Xgody are difficult to get a response from by way of their online help, so lets hope somebody out there can give us the help we need.
