The way I have been muting my ringtone is from the Home screen holding down the volume while button until it vibrates.
Today though, I was using my Bluetooth earpiece then hung up the call. I was ready to go into a class so I used the HTC Bluetooth widget to turn off Bluetooth.Then wanted to mute the volume so I went to the home screen and pressed volume down and it kept stating "Bluetooth volume". It wouldn't affect the ring volume, and I didn't know how to get the volume to mute. I ended up leaving the phone in my car because I couldn't get it to mute.
After class it did the same thing so I made a handset call and the volume key went back to controlling the ring finally.
How do you guys normally mute your phone? Has anybody else had this problem?
