Hi,

Today I noticed that I cannot answer (and end) phone calls.
The button does show that it's getting pressed, but it does not actually do anything.

I can make calls, but it does not show on my screen that I'm calling, I do hear that I'm calling.
The other side will have to hang up as it does not show up any button to end the call.

Somtimes it says "Call not sent" as if nothing happens, but it is actually calling, and I can hear the other person.
it also mentions that "Phone" is not responding, asking me to either close the app or wait, despite me literally talking to someone on the phone.

This is with the standard "Phone" app that comes with it by default.
I think this is just the "Contacts" app but opens on the phone tab.

Googling the issue gives me multiple forum posts of people with the exact same problem, but their solutions either don't work for me, or are too vague for me to follow.

I have a Huawei P10 Plus / EMUI 9.1.0.297

Hi B. Diddy

Haven't even done that, but I just had it solved anyway.
Thanks for replying though.🫠

It appeared to be caused by google play services, sounds weird to me, but hey, it works now.

I followed this video:
Go to Settings > Apps > Apps > Google Play services > Storage > MANAGE STORAGE > CLEAR ALL DATA

The issue described in the title is not exactly what I had since I could see incoming calls, but it did fix my issue.
He also does the same for google maps, but I skipped that one.

Interesting that the video is just a few days old and many other people have similar issues.
This can probably happen to any Huawei phone (maybe any android???)

Hope this helps other people who stumble on this in 2 years.
