Can't pull down notification bar during phone calls

[Android Central Question]

I have a LG ThinQ G8
Android verson: 10
Software verson: G820U20f
Model #: LM-G820um

When I am in a phone call I can't pull down the notification bar. Even when I put call on speaker. Also, when the phone rings I have to hit the decline button to go to the home screen. Is there a was to disable this 'phone call lock' or enable phone to pull down notification during call?

I use to have a Asus Zenfone 2. (Decent phone) with software. And I could silence the call then press the home button and do other tasks. And while I was in a call I could check notifications and search the internet with phone n speaker.

I want that on this phone that I spent more money on. Help!!!
