Can't Recall How to Set "None" for Lock Screen

After the update to Lollipop, I did a FR on my tablet. Yes, it was several months ago. I can't find a way to totally remove any sort of unlock or swipe of the homescreen. Swipe offers no protection but in the previous OS I could even get rid of that. Is there a way to go straight to the homescreen without swiping?
Thanks

No one? Wheres DianeHelen when you need her? :o But I'll take help from anyone...please :)

Settings, device, lockscreen and "none" should do it Monica

And that's the problem. I don't have the last option of "none". Thought I might have to do something else. This is Lollipop 5.1.1.
Is it hidden by default?

I have "pin" security setup on my note. Maybe that is why "none" is in my options.. It's been quite a while since I set it up. Cannot recall that it changed when I flashed lollipop.

I'll see if that makes a difference. Thanks. I'm embarrassed at the "don't have 'none'" remark <lol>
It appears I don't have a handle on English grammar LOL. Can you say, "double negative"? :p

Aweee feeling the love. Sorry I did not see this earlier. Been obsessing with Amazon fire sticks adding kodi/exodus. ;-)

I don't have a "None" option on lock screen either. I have a "None" option on lock screen effect. I have 5.1.1

Wonder if they changed that option

If you have Guess account, the NONE option will disappear. Tested in my SM-P600 with Guess and no Guess account.
Go to Guess account, remove that profile, then you will have the NONE option in Lock Screen

This one has Guess Account

Then after removing Guess Account

No Guess Account.jpg

Well WOW @Beut Once again, pure genius you are.

Exactly correct! Removing guest account brings back "None" option on lock screen
@monicakm hope you see this
@Beut How do you figure this stuff out?

Hi DianeHelen! I see it :D
Thanks Beut but I'm still not able to accomplish my goal.
I don't "think" I have a guest acct. I see the icon but it's grayed out.
Wait! I just went thru the same steps again and now I have the "none" option!
Don't know what I did different the 4th time around LOL
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Man that thing was annoying and would turn off the display in about 5 seconds
if I didn't swipe:-\

Sorry it took me so long to get back to the forum. I've been in hostess mode
for 6 weeks (on and off) and obsessing over Amazon Echo Dot,
Google Home and my smart devices.

DianeHelen, I've seen Firestick and Kodi talk in my Google Home and Alexa readings but
being on satellite internet and a 20GB/month data plan, streaming isn't something I
can get involved in...I think that's what it's all about :o

Great to see you and greater, that you finally got it done!

Firestick with Kodi is just incredible

Wow cant imagine having such a data limit at home. Guess your options are limited. Have you looked into all the unlimited data cell phone plans these days? That may be an Answer for you? Just a thought :-)

DianeHelen, if you'll remember, when we "met", my monthly data plan was 10GB. Hughesnet launched a new satellite and restructured their pricing and data plans. We still don't have roll over dat or unlimited data or crazy speeds but it's a step in the right direction! My download speeds used to be 10Mbsp on an exceptional day. Now my 20GB/monthly plan has download speeds of 45 to 50Mbps consistently. So even tho the rest of the country shakes their heads and wonder how we manage, we're thrilled! lol Living in the boonies/sticks/country just got a little nicer when it comes to internet :)
I can't recall why Verizon unlimited wouldn't work but it wasn't a viable option.

Well I guess it's some progress, tho still very restricted. I can't imagine how I could function without Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and now Kodi

Verizon unlimited probably would not work for mobile hotspot as they do limit that. But with a Chromecast, you could just cast from the phone to tv.
