Cant register G6 on the LG website?

I tried to register my G6 on the LG website but it doesnt have the G6 as an option when you try to select the model of phone! If you select "Other", that doesnt work and the registration fails.

It also wont take my IMEI number when registering OR when trying to get the Google Home Promo.

Whats up with that?

Same deal with me. Also can't log in to get the free Google Home. Either Verizon hasn't coordinated the IMEI numbers of units sold or LG hasn't gotten their act together. Not impressed. Going to call LG on Monday. Still love the phone.

I think it's because the phone isn't officially out yet. Try checking again near or on April 7th.

True. It is the official release date. Even I was shocked when I picked it up yesterday.

I just registered mine. You have to use the model number which is not LG G6. You can find it under about phone in the settings menu. Mine is VS988.

I'm having the problem with it registering my IMEI number. LG should know that Verizon is selling the phone now. Ugh.

Try using the serial number from the settings menu.

I'm having the same issue. I have two verizon G6's here and the promotion page won't accept either IMEI. I called LG about it on Friday and they said to give a few days for the IMEI's to be imported into their system. The person I spoke with told me to try calling again next week if I still am unable to claim my google home (s).

I'm also a little irritated with the TV promotion. I ported two lines over from ATT expecting to get two of the tv's. I read all the fine print that was available before the launch date only to find out when I actually made my claim that you were only eligible for one TV per account no matter how many lines you port in. Feels like something they should have made known ahead of time.

I just tried it again and there is no VS988 in the drop down list under Verizon phones. What brand is yours?

I tried selecting "other" and writing in the model number - VS988 and using the EMIE number and then the serial number and nothing works.

Could not get through on the phone so started a Chat session. The rep said he guessed the site was having technical problems and not to worry as long as I have my receipt!

He also said the Google Home wont go live until Apr 7. No cue why others got it to work.

I have US Cellular. Attempted to register on site on Fri but no luck. I did call in that day and the lady I spoke with said the IMEI #s probably weren't in the system yet from the carriers. She did take mine and said she could try to get it fast tracked into the system and to try again in a few days to register.
I was successfully able to register yesterday and just received notification that my submission was successfully validated and that I'll receive an email when my Google Home ships.

However, I will note that the IMEI # I gave to the lady on Fri was 15 digits from the box. The IMEI # that the site ultimately accepted yesterday was the one in the phone settings which was one digit shorter than from the box. Seems like the scenario they spelled out for Sprint on the page but appears to apply to US Cellular as well - enter 14 digit IMEI from phone (which is actually also the same as the MEID HEX), not the 15 digit from sticker on box.

It's the G6 on Verizon.

The V numbers are carrier specific models

That is the correct number for Verizon units

I was able to register my G6 today. There is still no VS988 in the drop down list, but choosing "other" and entering the IMEI number worked this time.
