First thanks for the EB01 Froyo/root/cwk packages and instructions. I followed the instructions for the Debloated/Deodexed Froyo Leak+root+Froyo Clockworkmod and got it to work. Then I did the SuperClean 2.4X the same way and everything was successful again.

Except:
After the Debloated and even after the SC I noticed that I can't remove the crapware from verizon (tetris, nfs, vcast, bing, blockbuster, etc...)

Before I was able to use my RootExplorer to go in and add .old to the .apk and it would disappear from apps menu. Now when I do that, RootExplorer says name changed and I go check but icons are still there. I go back into RootExplorer and see that it reverted back to just .apk.

I don't know what to do? I want to get rid of that **** asap!

yeah, you didnt flash sc 2.4, or any sc rom. drop sc 2.4 on sd. boot to recovery. wipe data and cache. flash sc 2.4. at this point you can reboot, but i wipe data and cache again, just to be sure. then reboot.

why dont you just flash regular SC 2.4

why dont you just flash regular SC 2.4

Ok i flashed the regular SC 2.4 but now my app menu scrolls horizontally? and the home screen doesn't have the usual 4 apps on bottom? Is this normal? Any way to get back the side to side scrolling in app menu?

Thanks for your quick responses tho! :)

Those are the normal features of superclean 2.4. Instead of touchwiz launcher where you had the 4 icons on the bottom, Adrynalyne uses the AOSP launcher. I don't know how to change the app drawer configuration in the AOSP launcher, or if you even can. Hopefully someone else can answer that for you.

Which patch would I need to flash? Would it be the same steps like when I did the SC 2.4?

Thanks for everyone's help, I appreciate it!

It would be the patch titled Touchwiz launcher:
http://adrynalyne.us/files/patches/eb01_touchwiz.zip

It can be found in the first post of this thread:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...om-dl09-super-clean-0-4-eb01-2-4-updated.html

If you downloaded the 2.4 zip file to your sd card, rebooted into recovery, then installed it through red cwm, then yes, you would follow those same steps

To be honest, i have no idea how to do anything with cwm so i followed the directions again and put on the Debloated/Deodexed Froyo Leak+root+Froyo Clockworkmod. So I got back the Touchwiz and everything looks nice except for the damn Tetris demo icon is there as well as some others I have no need for. When I use RootExplorer to do the .old after the .apk to remove the icon, it says name changed but it's still there and when I go to check changes it goes back to .apk without .old. How can I get rid of it?

Well swimmerguy, there's no time like the present to learn how to use clockworkmod. If you want to get rid of Tetris demo and the other apps you have no need for the best answer is to flash to superclean 2.4 and install the touchwiz patch. If you ever want to install any themes, patches, modifications in the future you are going to have to learn how to use clockworkmod. Let me know. The forums are very quiet right now and we can probably have you completely set up in less than an hour.

alright, lets do it!! i will put back the sc 2.4 with odin and perhaps there is a step by step dummys version post somewhere on using cwm?

stop, stop, stop. you don't need to put back the 2.4 with ODIN. This will be your first lesson in using cwm. And I will walk you through it.

Perfect. All we have to do at first is get you to 2.4. With phone on, hit menu soft key, go settings=>applications=>development and make sure USB debugging is checked. Then to back to your homescreen, plug in USB cable, wait til phone and pc connect, pull down notification bar and hit usb connected. On the next screen, hit the gray "connect usb" bar below the green droid. Auto play window will pop up on pc, you can close it. go to this thread:

left click on the first nonvoodoo link you see as you scroll down. this will open a new browser window. Save the file to the sd card on your phone. Let me know when you've reached this point.

You do realize the irony here, right? A shark is HELPING a swimmer!?!

Sent from my eVo

NOT helping him. He says he is fast by his username. Just seeing how fast he is and setting him up to take him down. :D
