Hello... As the title says, I'm unable to send or receive MMS messages on my Nexus 5X. My provider is Verizon. I noticed it when my group messaging stopped working in the default messaging app. It used to work perfectly fine up until about a week ago. Does anyone have some thoughts on what night be causing this?

Does SMS messaging and data still work? Unfortunately Verizon won't be very useful because they don't officially support the 5X.

I would first try removing the sim card, reinserting it, and doing a reboot of the phone.

Also, I would try other messaging apps such as hangouts, and see if the issue persists.

The Nexus 5X has full capability on the Verizon network, so I'm sure there is some sort of software error going on. However, like I stated above, Verizon does not officially support the 5X. This makes it near impossible to get any help on their end.

Check your APN settings. I was having all kinds of issues in the past week with delayed MMS messages. I went into the APN setting and added http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms as the MMSC, the MMS port as 80 and changed the APN type to internet + mms. Within a few minutes all of my mssing MMS messages came through and I haven't had an issue since.

Ahhhhh...I have received the 6.0.1 update but I haven't installed it yet.

I will also try the APN settings. Thanks for the responses! Hopefully one of these work.

the APN settings will definitely work. I stared at my phone for ten minutes waiting for MMS to download but they kept running into errors.in full 4G LTE coverage. Like wtf?

Filled in the APN settings, rebooted, and voila!

Yeah, I wish I had known these when I first got the phone. Glad to help others.
