cant setup google home on samsung tab 4

Hi, I have setup a new router & when i tried to connect to my google home
via my samsung tab 4 i got the message " your device isn't compatible with this version " do any of you guys know if tab 4 is no longer able to use google home app because of age or some other reason.

Welcome to Android Central! The Google Home app requires at least Android 6. From what I can tell on the web, the Tab 4 only got as high as Android 5.1.1.
