Can't take photo of cheque for online deposit - S10

[Android Central Question]

OK, so my bank,s app has a camera "button" on the screen that needs to be pressed to be able to take the photo of the front and back of the cheque...with my new S10, the home button is a part of the screen and the camera button from my bank app and home button overlap. So if i try to press the camera button to take the photo, my phone goes to the home page! How ridiculous! I don't think there is a way to take the photo automatically with my bank app (never did before with my old phone).

Sounds like the bank app is either not properly triggering immersive mode (where the status and navigation bars are hidden) or it's not designed properly to account for on-screen navigation buttons.
