Can't turn off sound notifications when switching to Vibrate/Mute - Marshmallow

I have the T-mobile galaxy s6 phone, just recently upgrade to Marshmallow.

Now when I switch modes to Vibrate or Mute, I can still hear my notifications. I can go into each app and switch the notification type, but I don't want to have to do that in each app each time I go into the movies or something.

What am I missing.

So does this mean they removed all that functionality out of vibrate/mute
