Can't type for my IMEI code

As the title says I am unable to type *#06# to see my IMEI.When I do it the keypad freezes and I get this message: "The application Phone (process com.sec.android.app.dialertab) has stopped unexpectedly.Please try again later." The phone is rooted and everything esle seems to be working fine.But I cant type for IMEI.I have cleared the phone application but doesnt help.I would appreaciate any help.Also another solution to see my IMEI would be great.The IMEI code under the battery is of 14 digits,while I need 15 digit one.My galaxy attain is locked to MetroPCS.

The IMEI should also be under Settings>About phone/device
