Can't unlock Note20U because FPS and swipe up stopped working, screen not responsive!

This is a problem that developed in the past 3 days. Anybody else ever experience this and, if so, what did you do? –All suggestions welcome.

Not with my finger, but I can write an on-screen memo with the S-Pen. I can't interact with it beyond that or answer calls though.

Sounds like a touchscreen error, even though the wacom pen digitiser seems OK, the capacitive digitiser may be faulty

Can you log in from you Samsung account to unlock it?

I agree with Kizzy Catwoman -- the touchscreen digitizer uses different technology than the S Pen, so it's still possible for the latter to work.

Try it safe mode to rule out a 3rd party app causing issues. I don't think it's the case but it's worth a shot. If that doesn't work try a factory reset after backing up your files.

Thanks for the link. I don't know how to turn it off so I've been waiting on the battery to die. How do I turn it off if I can't select, power off, reboot, etc.?

For Samsung devices, you can usually force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for about 20 seconds.

Are you able to unlock it from your Samsung account?

I was able to do a forced shutdown and it rebooted normally before I could get it into Safe Mode. It seems to be working now. Any thoughts?

I am so glad it is working now. Keep an eye on it just in case and backup all your files now while it is working in case it happens again and you cannot restart it.

You might be able to check on your warrant through the Samsung members app or see when you purchased through Samsung shop app

Phones will glitch out, sometimes. I had an episode with my Note 5 once, it glitched out, the notification light was flashing and nothing responded. I had a tablet handy and looked up the I for, tried the Volume down and power button reset, and never had a problem with it again.

I have the Note 20 standard, and rebooted it that way to clear a game error, recently. Still works well, as a simulated "battery pull" restart. Glad it's sorted for you!

You cant get into the phone with pin or password? Or just the fingerprint scanner not working?
